Overview
Your Automatic Watch Winder is designed to rotate all models and brands of automatic watches. The case is made of fine Oak wood. The finish is hand polished. The wood surface is as smooth as a mirror when completed. It takes 60 days to complete this process by skilled craftsmen. The PU coating of the wood box is heat resistant and will resist minor scratches. The quality of the finish will give years of beauty.
Specifications
- Hand crafted Oak wood case polished to high gloss piano finish.
- Slow rotation DC motor operates from a 3V power source. Either 2 pieces "D" size 1.5V batteries or a 3 volt AC Adaptor. Power consumption is less than 100mA. Battery consumption is 60 - 200 hours, depending on the type and quality of batteries. A pair of fresh Alkaline batteries will last for about 30 – 35 days, if the winder is kept turned on all the time. It will last longer if you occasionally turn the unit off. There is a receptacle at the rear of the case for a AC Adaptor. When AC adaptor is plugged into the DC jack, the battery connection is automatically disconnected and only AC power is used. Unplug the AC adaptor to use battery power.

The switch at the back of the unit controls the direction of rotation and power off. Switch to “I” to turn one direction, to “II” to turn another direction, to “o” to turn the power off.
- The Winders rotates at approximately 4.5 turns per minute. Each cycle will run for 1 hour and sleep for 3 hours. The same cycle will repeat continuously. You can turn off the winder at anytime. It winds approx. 1,800 turns per day. This is good enough for all automatic
watches.
- LED light indicator – The LED light on the front panel will lit green when the winder is working. It blinks during sleep mode. It is off when the power is turned off.-
HOW
TO
OPERATE
THE
WATCH
WINDER
1.
Wrap
a
watch
around
the
provided
cushion.
The
cushion
has
a
removable
cell
so
a
smaller
size
watch
can
be
placed
by
removing
the
outer
cell
of
the
cushion.
(Important:
if
the
watch
has
completely
stopped,
you
must
shake
the
watch
a
few
times
by
hand
to
unlock
the
slipping
device
that
might
be
locked
when
the
movement
has
completely
stopped.
If
you
skip
this
process,
the
watch
will
never
wind
up
on
the
watch
winder).
Then
insert
the
cushion
into
the
rotating
cup.
Close
the
lid
and
place
the
winder
sideway
like
the
following
picture:
2.
To
use
battery
power,
insert
2
“D”
size
batteries
into
the
battery
compartment
by
lifting
up
the
battery
cover.
To
use
AC
power,
plug
the
AC
adaptor
into
the
DC
jack
and
connect
the
other
side
to
the
wall
electricity
socket.
The
plugged
in
AC
jack
will
disable
the
DC
power
source.
3.
Select
your
rotating
direction
by
turning
the
switch
to
either
“I”
or
“II”
position.
You
can
turn
off
the
winder
anytime
by
switching
to
the
“o”
position.
Some
watches
like
Rolex
can
wind
up
either
way,
but
many
watches
can
only
wind
up
one
way.
You
can
test
the
wind
up
direction
of
your
watch
by
trying
one
direction
or
the
other.
Write
down
the
direction
that
works
for
your
watch
and
simply
use
the
same
direction
for
the
same
watch
on
your
next
session.
4.
There
is
stand
provided
with
the
winder.
You
may
place
it
underneath
the
winder
box
so
that
the
watch
tilts
at
an
upward
angle.
By
doing
so,
you
will
prevent
the
box
from
being
scratched
at
the
bottom.
MAINTENANCE
OF
THE
WINDER
It
is
recommended
to
use
a
velvet
type
fabric
to
clean
the
exterior
of
the
wood
box.
If
there
are
heavy
stains,
spray
very
small
amount
of
wood
furniture
polisher
and
then
wipe
clean.
Handle
the
box
carefully.
Do
not
drop.
Turn
the
power
switch
to
"OFF"
when
not
operating
the
unit.
Remove
the
dry
batteries
from
the
compartment
when
you
expect
not
to
use
the
unit
for
the
next
4
weeks.
Do
not
expose
the
unit
to
sunlight,
outdoor
environment,
extreme
temperature
or
humidity.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1.
The
rotation
disk
does
not
rotate:
Make
sure
the
AC
or
DC
power
source
is
properly
connected.
And
the
switch
is
turned
on
to
either
“I”
or
“II”
position.
Reset
the
winder
by
switching
to
“o”
postion
and
turn
it
on
again.
If
the
rotation
still
does
not
begin,
the
unit
requires
servicing.
2.
In
some
instances,
when
the
AC
Adaptor
is
plugged
into
the
winder,
there
is
no
power.
This
may
be
due
to
the
polarity
of
the
power
plug
is
inconsistent
with
the
polarity
of
the
local
electricity
company’s
power
supply.
If
you
use
the
AC
Adaptor
supplied
by
the
original
manufacturer,
the
plug
has
a
correct
polarity.
(Remarks:
If
you
use
your
own
adaptor
bought
at
your
local
store,
it
may
not
work
if
the
polarity
does
not
match
our
unit.
Make
sure
the
inside
polarity
is
(-)
and
the
outside
polarity
is
(+)).
3.
The
rotation
speed
is
very
slow
(less
than
2.5
turns
per
minute):
Insufficient
voltage
is
supplied.
Either
replace
the
dry
batteries
or
use
a
new
AC
Adaptor.
Always
use
a
3
Volt
output
AC
Adaptor
only.
